Free Time: Breaking The “Mom Rules”

Recently, my mind has been ON. And I don’t mean in the totally awesome way that means I’ve gotten 95% of my to do list accomplished by sheer will power. I mean, I have really bad pregnancy brain. I can’t stop thinking about things that I should be doing, halfway through the day I don’t remember any of them, even though I have written a physical list a million miles long. Like, I’ve “forgotten” to order contacts for the last four months straight.

The end result? Me. Napping.  Continue reading “Free Time: Breaking The “Mom Rules””

I’m A Better Mom When…

My husband travels for work more often than I’d like. And even though he calls and texts me as often as he can when he isn’t here, it often still feels like I’m alienated on an entire other planet. Continue reading “I’m A Better Mom When… “

Mom Fail? My Kid Hated Camp

I know, I know… I haven’t blogged in six months (exactly), but who’s counting?

I could attribute it to a lot of things… depression, motherhood, pregnancy, lack of motivation… The truth is, though, LIFE IS FREAKING BUSY! And every little excuse I could use for abandoning this page is something that, in the grand scheme of things, just adds up to nothing other than life- as we know it.

Winter, Wine, & Wisdom

Dear, oh, dear! It has been exactly a month since I last posted here and (dare I say?) it actually feels longer. Unfortunately, the amount of motivation I had about a month ago is about the same as what I have now. No new jolt of energy since 2017 began. In fact, it goes without saying really– new year, same stuff. And, boy, is it disappointing to start blogging again only to feel that you’ve fallen into a rut soon thereafter. So, here I am, trying to mount the horse once again.

Not Your Typical 9 to 5

An unusual weekend (rambling) post from me because I’ve been pretty much MIA the last couple of weeks. Being a mom is full-time job and takes precedence over me, my interests, blog…etc. I just love when I tell people I’m a SAHM and they kinda smirk at me while thinking, “Yeah, so you don’t do anything”. Some have even daringly looked me in the face and said, “Yeah, but, I mean… you don’t really work.” Continue reading “Not Your Typical 9 to 5”

My Tots Teach Me Love

Another week is coming to an end… FRIYAY is here and I couldn’t be more pleased. Hubby doesn’t have a heavy work load heading into the weekend and a ‘after Thanksgiving turkey’ is calling my name. Well– first it’s calling to be injected, rubbed, glazed, and basted. Nevertheless, tomorrow there will be a feast. Continue reading “My Tots Teach Me Love”

Life & Family Update

If my daughter currently drawing all over her freshly bathed body isn’t a sign of the kind of week I’ve had, then I don’t know what is. (But, independent playtime is good, right?) Truly, I was ready to sleep through the rest of the week by Tuesday afternoon. Continue reading “Life & Family Update”
